The show course at the Rock Aqua Jays’ site in Traxler Park in Janesville, Wisconsin, is 3,500 feet (1,066 meters) in length. The landing beach is 320 feet (97.5 meters) in length from the performance platform to the beginning of the retaining wall. A sandy beach approximately four feet wide (1.2 meters) (behind the payoff stage) runs the entire length of the show course.
The widest portion of the Rock River at the site is 500 feet (152 meters), and the narrowest point is 350 feet (106 meters). The average width of the show course is 425 feet (130 meters). Water depth at the jump varies from 10 to 12 feet (3 – 3.6 meters). The depth of the water just off the end of the performance platform/starting dock varies from 4 to 5 feet (1.4 – 1.5 meters). The depth of the water two feet out from the beach is approximately 2 feet (.6 meters). Certain areas of the show course have been dredged specifically for ski show performances.
Distance of available usable water space beyond the show course to the south is 600 yards (548 meters) and meets the required 1,600 feet (488 meters) virtually limitless length to the north of the show course. The amount of unobstructed air space to the south is 1,450 feet (442 meters) and 1,100 feet (335 meters) to the north.
